Nutrition Facts Label Generator
Enter your product’s nutrition values and watch an FDA-format Nutrition Facts label build itself as you type. Rounding and % Daily Value are handled for you. Download it free.
Values are rounded and %DV calculated per FDA rules (21 CFR 101.9, 2016 label). You are responsible for confirming serving sizes, allergen statements, and final compliance for your product before printing.
How the label is calculated
Each value you enter is rounded using the FDA’s rules: calories to the nearest 5 (or 10 above 50), fats to the nearest 0.5 g up to 5 g, sodium to the nearest 5 or 10 mg, and carbohydrates, fiber, sugars, and protein to the nearest gram. The % Daily Value is worked out from the amount you entered against the current FDA Daily Values, then rounded to a whole percent.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the label FDA-compliant?
- It uses the 2016 FDA vertical Nutrition Facts format, with rounding and % Daily Value calculated per 21 CFR 101.9. You remain responsible for confirming your serving size, allergen statement, and overall compliance before printing on a product.
- Is it free?
- Yes. You can build your label and download a watermarked PNG for free, with no account. A Pro plan removes the watermark and adds print-ready PDF export, saved products, and bulk CSV import.
- Which label format does it create?
- The standard 2016 FDA vertical Nutrition Facts label — the format required on most packaged foods sold in the United States.
- Can I use it for products I sell on Amazon or Etsy?
- Yes, the label itself works for any packaged food. A retail barcode (UPC) is separate and must be obtained from GS1; this tool only generates the nutrition label.
